Food Safety Training for Nursing Homes

The Environmental Health Association of Ireland (EHAI) recommend that that staff cooking or serving food in a nursing home or elder care facility are required to have Food Safety Training.

This short 3½ hour Food Hygiene Course is ideal for all Food Handlers be they Nurses or Care Assistants. 

This Food Safety Course covers:

  • Food poisoning and bacteria
  • Food delivery and storage
  • Food handling, preparation and cooking
  • Personal hygiene and good hygiene practices
  • Pest control
  • Cleaning
  • HACCP Awareness (Hazard Analysis and Monitoring)

  • Food safety in a Nursing Home

We will travel to your Nursing Home or Care Facility to provide this bespoke Food Hygiene Course in the evening, at the weekend or at a time that is convenient to you. We provide this in-house Food Safety Training Course in the following counties.
