Course Details

The First Aid Responder (FAR) three-day certified course is the NEW Health and Safety Authority standard for first aid at work. It is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency first aid should the need arise.

As and from the 1st June 2018 the Health & Safety Authority will only recognise the First Aid Response Education and Training Standard (FAR) as meeting the needs of Occupational First Aid in all workplaces.

Overview

The First Aid Response (FAR) Course replaced the Occupational First Aid course in June 2018. The FAR Course also includes the full Cardiac First Response Community Standard which includes Paediatric Cardiac First Response.

Certification 

The participants will receive a First Aid Response Certificate which is valid for 2 years. The two day refresher course must then be completed to recertify. This refresher course must be completed within 30 days of the cert expiry. Photo ID required for registration on Day 1 of this course.

Please note that NB Training Services LTD are affiliated with the First Aid Response Registered Institution Safety Solutions.

All NB Training Services instructors delivering this course are Cardiac First Response Instructors and First Aid Response Instructors registered with the Registered Institute Safety Solutions. Our Instructors have vast experience in the delivery of First Aid training in the workplace.

On-Site and Public Course Options

We hold public courses bi-monthly in The Enterprise Centre, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan. We will also travel to your business, creche, school or site to deliver this course at a time and place that suits you and your staff team. This course is recommended by the Tusla Early Years Inspectorate for those working in Childcare.
